SYNOPSIS
In 1926 Suzanne born out of wedlock of a Belgian colonial official and a Rwandeese woman. He is not interested in the two other children from the affair, two boys with the same name as his two Belgian sons, but he did acknowledge Suzanne. When she is four years old, her father puts her on the boat to Belgium for a proper European education. Thus Suzanne becomes one of the many kids who were in better environments described as "a saved mixed race children". Her father makes sure that his daughter gets a good education and sent her to boarding school. But when the war breaks out, Suzanne has to stay with his Belgian family. But there is little room for an outsider with a different skin color ... |
