Samia houdt zich niet veel bezig met de politieke onrust in haar thuisland Somalië. Ze is vooral gefocust op haar grote passie: hardlopen. Terwijl ze urenlang traint, droomt ze van
een professionele carrière als atlete. De kers op de taart zou een deelname aan de Olympische Spelen zijn, maar de weg daarnaartoe is niet vanzelfsprekend. Gelukkig staat ze er als jonge vrouw niet alleen voor. Dankzij de onvoorwaardelijke steun van haar familie verliest ze nooit de hoop om haar grote droom te bereiken, al komt dat met een hoge prijs.
Samia is not much concerned with the political unrest in her homeland of Somalia. She is mostly focused on her great passion: running. As she trains for hours on end, she dreams of a professional career as an athlete. The icing on the cake would be a participation in the Olympics, but the road to it is not a foregone conclusion. Fortunately, as a young woman, she is not alone. Thanks to the unconditional support of her family, she never loses hope of achieving her big dream, even if it comes at a high price.
