My Father's Shadow
Afrika Filmfestival: My Father's Shadow

As tensions rise in Lagos following the ’93 elections, two brothers are having the time of their lives. Remi and Aki have an absent father, but today they get to go out with him. The older brother tries to figure him out, while the younger one is mainly seeking his attention. These small moments together reveal their tensions and their longing for closeness. What begins as an ordinary day trip turns into an emotional journey in which the brothers try to discover who their father really is.

Commentaar
